Central Province Ladies enter finals

Central Province Ladies entered the finals of the Twenty20 women’s
cricket championship organized by the Sri Lanka cricket when they beat
Southern Province by five wickets in the semi-finals played at NCC
grounds, yesterday.
Highlight of the match was the hat-trick performed by left arm
spinner Sugandika Kumari for the Central Province ladies when she took
wickets in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th ball of her second over which saw
Southern Province collapse for 74 in the final over of the innings.
Central Province Ladies chasing this modest score of 74, made 77 for
5 in 15/1 overs to storm into finals which will be against Western
Province on Thursday May 2nd at the NCC grounds.
Souther Province 74 all out in 19.4 overs (Dedunu Dushanthi 16,
Sugandi Kumari 4 for 13, Sripali Weerakkody 2 for 10).
Central Province 77 for 5 in 15.5 overs (Sripali Weerakkody 18,
Inoshi Fernando 26).
