Govt to construct hostel for foreign students
Ministry of Higher Education will construct a
special hostel to international standards to house foreign students
studying in Sri Lanka Dr Sunil Jayantha Navaratne, Secretary to the
Ministry of Higher Education at a press conference hosted to
announce the official opening of the Victoria Higher Education
(Private) Limited campus in Colombo said that they are now on the
look for a property to construct the hostel close to Colombo,
probably in Battaramulla or Pelawatta.

Kelani Cables, Browns to manufacture jumper cables
A MoU was signed between Sri Lanka’s cable
manufacturer Kelani Cables PLC and Brown & Company PLC, recently in
Colombo. The MoU was signed by Mahinda Saranapala, CEO of Kelani
Cables PLC and Panduka Weerasingha, the Senior Vice President,
Agriculture, Battery, Porcelain and New Business of Brown & Company
PLC to manufacture international standard jumper cables under BG
brand which is currently manufactured by Kelani Cables.
