Not another art project
The exhibition will be held at the Barefoot Gallery, Colombo, from
May 10 to June 2. It is organized by Colombo Artists, which consist of a
group of renowned artists in Sri Lanka together with some
internationally recognized artistes from various part of the world. The
artistes in Colombo Artists have represented Sri Lanka in number of
international workshops and exhibitions over the years. They have
contributed to the Sri Lankan Art industry in various forms.
'Colombo Artists appreciate the moral boost that happens from the ART
projects, but this Exhibition is an Experimental Exhibition of its own.
In most art projects the "Theme" is given to the artists or art work is
selected by a curator.
The specialty is 'not another art project 'is that the artists are
given a chance to open their mind without any restrictions or
boundaries. Artists are not compelled to limit their work under a theme.
In this exhibition, artists are not expected to reach goals. But to let
the creativity come out in open in their own shapes and colours. This
would be a wonderful opportunity given to every artiste in here and
overseas. Participants would be from USA, United Kingdom, Sweden,
Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and
Sri Lanka.
