Operated by Serendib Ventures, the company has great plans for Zigo
mobiles having identified that 80% of the Sri Lankan middle income
earners had to pay a premium price for phones with the latest
technology, where as Zigo is offering the same quality at an affordable
price with their Zigo brand range.
In an interview, Zigo Head of Channel Operations Keshan Fernando
noted that Zigo has accumulated a considerable market share in the SARRC
region and the Middle East. According to a market survey carried out,
Zigo is the second largest Android phone supplier after Samsung. "Backed
by these facts and the faith we have in the local consumer base, we are
very optimistic of this market and hope to gain at least 40% of its
share during the coming year," he said.
Speaking about the brand and its many attributes, Fernando
acknowledged that Zigo mobile phones are incorporated with
state-of-the-art features and a wide range of models to choose from
,which makes the brand stand out among competitive offerings. "By virtue
of the superiority in technology, user friendliness, stylish appearance
and several ultra modern features including easy access to email and
surfing through a choice of browsers, as well as social utilities such
as facebook and twitter, The brand offers a portfolio of products
catering to customers across demographic segments and presents 'more
than value for money' with devices that both looks and feel great. "
A special aspect of Zigo mobile phones and tablet PCs are their
competitive pricing, while boasts of mind blowing features which are
comparable with or even better than similar offerings from other
international brands. "This makes Zigo mobile phones highly desirable
among a wider segment of the market that could access the latest
advances in technology," Fernando said.
To take forward their plans of acquiring a bigger playing field in
the local market, Zigo has signed up with a majority of the leading
mobile operators , offering attractive bundle offers and deals for
potential customers. Agreements have also been signed with all leading
banks and credit card companies,enabling more customers to join the Zigo
World.
