Raigam Tele'es at Water's Edge

It is the night that many creative artistes attached to the mini screen have been waiting for throughout the year. Applications have been accepted and are being graded for the Raigam Tele'es 2013 which will unfurl at the Water's Edge on May 17. Around 50 awards will be handed over to those who made a significant and memorable contribution to the small screen last year at the glamorous event which celebrates its eighth consecutive chapter this year.

"It is a feat indeed to hold the event for eight years in a row. We have faced and overcome many challenges along the way. Many worthy individuals have been motivated by being felicitated at this meeting point where artistes and all those in connection with the mini screen have been brought under one roof to share joy and strengthen the field," The Kingdom of Raigam Chairman Dr Ravi Liyanage shared his views about the team's triumphant feat.

Raigam Tele'es has been the first award ceremony to introduce the factor of choosing the popular awards via SMS. This year too the people's jury will select most popular actor, actress and teledrama by sending the names of their choices. Participants are requested to type the name of the teledrama, space, name of the actor/actress and send it to 0772522522 between April 1 and May 15. Twenty five lucky winners will get an opportunity to win two tickets for the Raigam Tele'es 2013. The winners will be notified about this via SMS.
