Vision Care launches new loyalty card



Vision Care Optical Services announced the launch of a new loyalty card for its members on Wednesday which includes a digital patients record among other innovative features. The clients of Vision Care Optical Services will be able to access their personal eye-health records in a flash from any where in the island courtesy the company's new loyalty card. The Vision Care launched a new loyalty card for its members, Wednesday which has a Digital Patient Record (DPR) among other facilities.

Sri Lanka's biggest eye-care company says now onwards, members will be able to access their personal eye-health record from anywhere in the island via the DPR. At the launch of the programme on Wednesday, Vision Care, Chairman cum CEO Dasantha Fonseka told media "Digital Patient Record (DPR) is a process of maintaining patient records electronically or in a digital format. The digitization of the health records helps in saving a lot of time, reducing errors, reducing costs, improved quality of service and patient safety."

He said the initiative has sparked interest not only among client patients but among the medical practitioner's as well. According to Fonseka, the new card with the DPR is another endeavour by his company at providing innovative solutions for patients needs.The biggest advantage with the system is that it can be utilized at any point of time including emergencies. VC Loyalty Card Holders will have to bring only their patient card to make use of this service.

Fonseka said, "We are akin to an exclusive eye-care provider bringing the world's best eye care to all Sri Lankan eye" meaning that anyone relying on the expertise of Vision Care Optical Services can benefit from the services and advice based on decades of experience and delivered by a set of academically qualified professionals sensitive to the needs of the people. Vision Care also said that they were on a rapid expansion of its branch network to cater to a fast growing client base.According to Fonseka with accessibility, customer convenience and service as the core objective and an extensive network of branches, Vision Care is the most convenient and friendliest to all who seek eye care services.

Fonseka said that one of the unique features of his business is that it carries out specialized eye tests at its premises for clients and satisfies every eye-care need of the customer under one roof.
