British Airways re commences from April 15
British Airways announced its newest long-haul route to Colombo, Sri
Lanka beginning Monday, April 15, 2013. The thrice weekly frequency via
Male would be operated by a Boeing 777-200 in a three class
configuration offering flat beds in Club World, our premium economy,
World Traveller plus and World Traveller seats. The announcement marks
British Airways' much awaited return to Sri Lanka after over 17-years.
To commemorate the launch, British Airways has introduced an
attractive offer on return fares between Colombo and London. Commenting
on this significant launch, Christopher Fordyce, Regional Commercial
Manager, South Asia said, "We are proud to announce British Airways'
reopening of the route between London Gatwick and Colombo and welcome
the paradise island of Sri Lanka to British Airways' unmatched global
network. Sri Lanka has emerged as one of the most popular destinations
among leisure and business travellers."
