Crusaders Sports Club beat Rio Sports Club, Ambalangoda by six wickets in their inter club division one Sara Trophy Tournament match worked off at Kalutara.

Batting first Rio SC were all out for 147 runs with Suresh Silva claiming 4 for 47 and in reply homesters made 197 runs with two good knocks coming off the bats of Vinod Madushan 58 and Dananjaya Madushanka 59. Sham Suranga captured 5 for 58 for the visitors.

In their second essay Rio collapsed for 140 runs with Sham Suranga scoring 43 runs and set to make 91 runs for an outright victory crusaders passed the required total for the loss of four wickets with former Cambrian Sahan Galappatthi unbeaten on 49 runs.
