UC Member remanded in girl abuse case

S. Don Saman Pathmasiri, UPFA Member of the Maharagama U.C. was remanded till April 12 when he was produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate and Additional Judge Lanka Jayaratne in connection with the alleged sexual abuse of a 12 year old girl. This follows a complaint lodged against him at the Athurugiriya Police.

The police who produced him, told court that the suspect had committed the offence on the girl in a lonely house at Aturugiriya.
