Police Public Day in provinces

The Police 'Public Day' for meetings between the public and the IGP at the Police Headquarters every Friday (except public holidays and Poya Days ) will also be held in the provinces at the offices of the nine Senior Deputy Inspector Generals, Police Media Spokesman SP Buddhika Siriwardena said.

The event provides an opportunity to forward complaints regarding police officers who fail to conduct inquiries following complaints lodged by the public.

The Public Day will be held every second Wednesday and fourth Wednesday at the office of the SDIG.
