sanitary facilities for law income families.
Financial assistance will be provided for needy families under this,

Mining gems at own risk

A person pleaded guilty to mining for gems in the Walaweganga
reservation at Bulathgama in Balangoda without a permit was fined Rs
30,000 by Balangoda Magistrate and District Judge Duminda Mudunkotuwa.
Officials of the Balangoda Forest Range Office prosecuted.
Handicraft sale
The National Craft Council Sinhala and Hindu handicraft sale will be
held at the Janakala Centre, Battaramulla today from 9 am to 7 pm.
National Craft Council chairman Buddhi Keertihsena will open the sale
today.
Stage drama
Siwamma Danapala, the stage drama directed by Tennyson Cooray will be
staged tomorrow at 3.30 pm and 6.30 pm at Sarvodaya Vishva Samadhi Hall,
Rawatawatta.
