Azwer snaps at rumour mongers

It is to be ashamed to know that some misguided elements have sent
short messages (SMS) around the country requesting Muslims not to visit
Nuwara Eliya causing fear while visitors are converging there to spend
the summer holiday season, said MP A. H. M Azwer.
He said he denounced such false and unfounded messages.
Azwer was at a ceremony to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of Ahadiya
School in Yaggasmulla, Meda Mulana.
He said a small number of misguided and frustrated elements are
resorting to this condemnable act initiated by foreign agencies.
"They have been identified and action will be taken against those for
creating unfounded fear among the people", he said.
The trustee of the Nuwara Eliya mosque has informed that the
Jamia-ath of the Mosque is geared to receive Arabian travellers by
providing facilities. |
