Krishan Marlon Perera has been in the music industry for the past 10 years with the help of his father Christopher Perera. At the age of 16, he got his first keyboard and took part in the Sirasa Karaoke Championship competition and won the series -making it the stepping stone to his music career. With the guidance and training Damian Wickramathilake he administered to take up the challenge and win the series by defeating some very talented singers.

He was the senior western band leader and a senior Prefect at the St. Joseph's College, Colombo 10 and at 17, took part in TNL Onstage as a solo artist and became a finalist in the year 2004. After TNL onstage, he got the opportunity to meet one of the country's best bass guitarist Thilak Dias who was managing the band Akash, which also took part in TNL onstage band category in the year 2004. He invited Krishan to join the band as a keyboardist and vocalist to manage the front line along with Lanthra Perera.

In 2005 Lanthra and Krishan formed their own group - Lanthra & Krishan and started performing at weddings and dinner dances as well as stage shows. After performing as a duo for 3 years they both decided they needed a full band and came out with a 5 piece band that is now known to be the well known band - Doctor.

From 2005 to now, Doctor has been extremely successful and has been performing at numerous functions and also toured Australia, Bahrain and the Caribbean Islands for shows. They have released 6 originals and their latest release was Nawa Pituwak, sung by Krishan. This particular song was written to his beautiful wife Sachini Wickramage Perera as a surprise to her on their wedding day and the song audio was officially released on the same day. The audio was done by Lanthra Perera and the video production was done by Wasawa Baduge. Apart from being the keyboardist and vocalist, Krishan is at the moment working for the world's leading clothing brand Victoria's Secret and will be qualifying with an MBA God willingly by the end of this year.

"Special thanks goes out to my lovely wife Sachini Wickramage Perera for all the support and encouragement given and most of all for coping with my busy schedule as it is very difficult to strike a balance between music, work and studies. She has been the strong hold in my life and has been very understanding", Krishan adds.

He extends his heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to his parents, sister and in-laws, relatives as well as his colleagues for all the support rendered. Also his band mates Lanthra Perera, Kushal Abyewickrama, Hashan Jayathilake and Maheethkuma for all the unending guidance and support extended. "Most importantly to God who is above all things. It is with his grace that I have achieved all of these milestones in my life. I will praise his name at all times for the talent that he has bestowed on me", he said.
