MAS Holdings invests in fashion IT
Sri Lanka's MAS Holdings is investing 20 million US dollars in attune
Consulting, an information technology firm that caters to the apparel
and fashion industry, said.
Attune said it was looking to aggressively expand its technology
offering to fashion and lifestyle value chain, up to the retail. "Our
exclusive focus on the fashion and lifestyle industries, coupled with
our global organization of full-time, highly experienced consultants,
has enabled attune to build a reputation that is second to none," said
Vajira De Silva, CEO of attune.
"With this investment from MAS, we can now accelerate the development
of additional services to help our clients address all of their
technology challenges, across the entire value chain."
The firm was founded in 2006 to implement and customize enterprises
resource planning software from SAP for the apparel and footwear
sectors. Its activities now spanned 16 countries, allowing firms to cut
costs, resources and time, the firm said.
As part of this investment, attune will merge with Sabre
Technologies, an MAS backed firm set up in 2001.
