Snatch thieves arrested

Two suspects involved in a series of chain snatching incidents, were arrested along with a foreign made hand grenade in their possession by the Kurunegala division crime investigation branch on Tuesday.

The Police also seized a motorcycle used by the snatch thieves to commit the crimes. Investigations revealed that the suspects had sold the snatched jewellery and bought a three wheeler and jewellery for their families.

They were produced before the Rambodagalla magistrate court yesterday.
