Rs. 400 mn paddy store complex for Wewegodalla

A new paddy store building is to be built with a Rs. 400 million investment by Ministry of Economic Development in Wewegodalla, Maradagahamula, Divulapitiya.

The foundation store laying ceremony was held under the patronage of Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa. Minister Rajapaksa said that his Ministry has planned to complete this project in three months and paddy dealers would benefit vastly from the new store complex.

Most paddy stores are located near farm lands. But the specialty in this Maradagahamula Paddy store is that it is situated in a shopping area with a large contingent of consumers and sellers. MP Sudarshani Fernandopulle, Western Councillor Chandana Jayakody, Deputy Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna and Divulapitiya Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Indika Anuruddha also participated.
