Granny who ran abortion clinic granted bail
A 77-year-old woman who operated an illegal
abortion clinic was released on bail by the Homagama Magistrate’s
Court. The suspected is suffering from an infirmity in her knee
following an operation after an accident. The magistrate considering
this and her age ordered her release on bail although the case
against her will be heard at a future date.

The body of an infant was found in the Kottegoda
area in Uva Paranagama on Sunday,. The body stored in a bag was
