Infant’s body found

The body of an infant was found in the Kottegoda area in Uva Paranagama on Sunday,. The body stored in a bag was found near a lake in the area, the Police said.

A woman who is believed to be the infant’s mother was arrested yesterday.

The woman aged 38 when questioned, said her husband had left her.

Investigations are continuing.
