ICC signs Rs 3.6 billion investment agreement with BOI
The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka signed an
agreement with International Construction Consortium (Pvt) Ltd (ICC)
for a mixed development project. The agreement was signed by M M C
Ferdinando, Chairman /Director General BOI and Harsha De Saram, Vice
Chairman ICC International Construction Consortium (Pvt) Ltd (ICC)
being the promoter of the proposed project will implement a mixed
development project in a 22.5 acre land owned by Nivasie Developers
(Pvt) Ltd which is located at Halbarawa Estate in Malabe, with an
investment of Rs 3.6 billion.

'Voice Portal' in 2013. This would be for mobile phone users who
wish to access the services of government departments.

Lanka-Russia bilateral trade tops $ 360 mn
As trade between both countries topped $ 360
million, the Russian Federation, the single largest buyer of Pure
Ceylon Tea, is set to significantly increase bilateral cooperation
across diverse economic sectors. “We want to extend our support to
Sri Lanka’s power and energy sector. To this end, a Russian nuclear
power team with scientists will arrive in January to study Sri
Lanka’s energy sector outlook,” said Alexander A Karchava, the new
Russian envoy to Sri Lanka, recently.
