Woman's gold necklace stolen
A man stole a gold necklace worn by a
68-year-old woman from her home garden in Alugolla, Badulla and
fled. The necklace was stolen when she came out of her house to let
lose the dog from the cage. The thief had grabbed the woman's
necklace and disappeared.

Australian commits suicide
An Australian national living in Sri Lanka had
committed suicide by jumping into a well in Biyagama last Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Henry John Froli (97) a retired
Australian Army man who had come to Sri Lanka with his Sinhalese
wife, two years ago.
