Australian commits suicide

An Australian national living in Sri Lanka had committed suicide by jumping into a well in Biyagama last Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Henry John Froli (97) a retired Australian Army man who had come to Sri Lanka with his Sinhalese wife, two years ago.

Police investigations reveal that the deceased was suffering from severe wheeze for the last three months.

Biyagama police are investigating.
