Man gets bail after challenging WPC

A man who allegedly attempted to challenge the orders of a Woman Police Constable was ordered to be released on a Rs 5,000 cash bail and a Rs 50, 000 personal bond by Horana magistrate Mahinda Ranasinghe.

The magistrate also ordered him to appear at the Ingiriya Police Station on the first Sunday of every month. The suspect is a resident of Jayalathgama, Ingiriya.

The incident took place in Ingiriya town .
