Nabbed for power piracy

A man who allegedly tampered with an electricity metre to pirate electricity was fined Rs 10,000 by Horana magistrate Mahinda Ranasingha. He also ordered the suspect to pay Rs 87,194. 65 to the Ceylon Electricity Board.
