Over-40 cricket encounter on August 19

The ninth annual over - 40 cricket encounter between the MCA Veterans and Lanka Cavaliers for the “Tyrone de Silva” Challenge Trophy will be played on Sunday, August 19 at the Colombo Colts Cricket Club Grounds commencing 10.0am.

Out of the eight encounters played since 2004, MCA have won four and Lanka Cavaliers have won 03 with one match ending in a “tie”.

Lanka Cavaliers who is hosting the match this year will offer special awards to the best batsman, bowler, fielder and man of the match.

Tyrone De Silva former MCA President, who donated the trophy 2004 will be the Chief Guest.
