Four held in mobile brothel raid
Four persons including two women were arrested
by Mount Lavinia Police when they raided a brothel which was
operated in a car in Mount Lavinia on Tuesday. Police said the
suspects transported women by car to places as directed by their
clients.

Another 43 bound for Australia arrested
Forty three persons attempting to illegally
migrate to Australia from Negombo were arrested by the Navy along
with a trawler on Tuesday. The trawler named Wasana was intercepted
by Naval troops in Negombo and was escorted to the Modera Fisheries
Harbour.
