Batticaloa District UNP candidate of the Eastern Provincial Council
poll Arumugan Jayakumar, joined hands with United People’s Freedom
Alliance (UPFA) to strengthen the hands of President Mahinda Rajapaksa
to develop the country at Temple Trees yesterday.
Jayakumar said after ending the bloody thirty year war, the Eastern
Province has been blessed with massive development projects and the
living standards of the Northerners are developing with a number of
massive development projects.
“It is a duty of everyone who loves the motherland to support the
UPFA government led by President Rajapaksa at this juncture to
contribute to the rapid development projects being implemented in the
country”, he said.
