A Tamil language training course for
Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited staffers was
introduced at the company premises yesterday. This course
organized by the ANCL Research and Training Centre is the
brainchild of ANCL Editorial Director Seelarathna Senerath.

| The Indian High Commission of Colombo
yesterday celebrated the 66th Independence Day of India at a
ceremony held at India House. Here, Indian High Commissioner
Ashok K. Kantha hoisting the national flag of India, which
was followed by the singing of the National Anthem by the
High Commission staff and the Indian community in Sri Lanka.
