Aitken Spence plans luxury hotel in Ahungalla

The Aitken Spence Hotel Group is planning to construct a luxury hotel
with 20 rooms in Ahungalla with a Thai company, General Manager HR Amal
Nanayakkara said.
Rs 300 million will be invested for the project which will be
completed in three years.
He also said Aitken Spence Hotel Group is geared to improve quality
services to meet future demands for top jobs in the industry by
providing high quality training for their senior executives. Nanayakkara
speaking at the inauguration of a leadership training programme at
Heritance Ahungalla conducted by ILO expert Dillip de Silva, said there
will be a host of employment opportunities in all existing sectors as
well as in emerging sectors of the industry.
"Therefore, the industry needs dynamic leaders to handle their staff
effectively and efficiently to cater to the booming industry enabling to
compete with neighbouring countries," he said.
