CEB directive to strikers

The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) requested all its employees who are currently on strike to report to work by 12 noon on August 17.

If they fail to do so, the CEB will seek alternative methods to replace striking employees, the CEB sources stated.

Meanwhile, the CEB requested all retired CEB training field officers who retired on and after 2008 to report to the nearest CEB Regional Electrical Engineering Offices with immediate effect.
