Tri-shaw driver nabbed for traffic offence had drugs
The Colombo Police CCTV division who arrested a
three wheeler driver for a traffic offence, found 2.760 grammes of
heroin and 13.350 grams of cannabis in the three wheeler. The mobile
patrol unit arrested the suspect when he made a U turn despite a
warning sign near Kelaniweli railway crossing on Baseline Road.

Body of murder suspect found hanging from tree
Police yesterday found the body of a man wanted
in connection with his father’s murder, hanging from a mango tree
near the suspect’s mother- in- law’s house in Siyambalanduwa. Police
said the suspect who allegedly hacked his father to death on August
1 at Siyambalanduwa, was evading arrest.
