Tri-shaw driver nabbed for traffic offence had drugs

The Colombo Police CCTV division who arrested a three wheeler driver for a traffic offence, found 2.760 grammes of heroin and 13.350 grams of cannabis in the three wheeler.

The mobile patrol unit arrested the suspect when he made a U turn despite a warning sign near Kelaniweli railway crossing on Baseline Road.

Police issued him with a spot fine and on interrogating him, found the drugs hidden in the three wheeler.

The suspect was handed over to Dematagoda Police.
