CID tells court :

Obscene material found in X News website CDs

The CID yesterday informed Additional Magistrate Prasanna Alwis that certain obscene material were found in the CD’s retrieved from the X News office website and SL Mirror, by CID .

The CID also informed that computers and other equipment had been forwarded on a court order to the Moratuwa University for scrutiny.

Ruwan Ferdinando who had not being cited as a suspect had being questioned. An application filled by the CID to question the six suspects , all employees of X News was allowed.

Further hearings were postponed for June 25. Attorney at Law Upul Kumaraperuma appeared for the suspects.
