Craftsmen show their colours at Shilpa 2012 arts festival

The Shilpa-2012 exhibition will be held from August 30 to September 2
at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre, National Craft
Council chairman Buddhi Keerthisena said.
Shilpa -2012 comprises a creative collection of arts. Craftsmen from
the provinces will participate, he said.
Keerthisena said first, second and third place winners from the
provinces will contribute their work at Shilpa -2012.
The Southern Province exhibition will be held from July 25 to 27 at
the Galle Urban Council; the Sabaragamuwa Province exhibition will be
held at the Ayagama Central College from July 30 to August 1; the
Wayamba Province exhibition will be held at the Panduwasnuwara Stadium
from August 3 to 5; Western Province exhibition will be held at the
National Arts Gallery from August 10 to 12; the Uva Province exhibition
will be held at the Bandarawela Town Hall from August 12 to 14 and the
North Central exhibition will be held at Swarnapali National School from
September 20 to 23.
The Central Province exhibition will be held at the City Centre Kandy
from August 17 to 19. |
