John Tarbet athletics begin tomorrow

Sir John Tarbet Junior Athletic Championship 2012 organized Sri Lanka School Athletic Association ( SLSAA ) under the direction of Ministry of Education will be held from June 21 to 24 at Mahaweli Stadium , Embilipitiya.

This year too the event is sponsored by Milo. The 2012 edition of the annual event will be attended by 306 schools around the island. A total number of 1852 boys will be competing in age groups under 12, 13, 14 and 15 whereas girls’ participation will be 1543 and the age groups are as the same as for the boys. The organizers have arranged accommodation for boys in Embilipitiya MV, Moraketiya MV , Halmilla MV and in Bodhimaluwa MV. The girls will be put up in President College , Embilipitiya and in Embilipitiya Junior Secondary School.
