Underworld figure arrested

An underworld figure who had distributed drugs to several areas in the country was arrested by the Matale Divisional Intelligence Unit, police said.

Investigations revealed that this person had also been involved in several criminal acts. The suspect had distributed drugs in Dambulla, Kekirawa and Matale. He had used a motorcycle where the number plates could be changed instantly, police said.
