Two suspects arrested in cricketer’s murder case
The Criminal Investigation Department yesterday
arrested two suspects allegedly involved in the murder of cricketer
Eswardasan Ketheeswaran in Trincomalee. Ketheeswaran had been hacked
to death at Iyyarnarkoni Street in Trincomalee on April 18. The
suspects confessed they committed the murder on a contract entered
into with the victim’s wife,

OIC, 16 others of Imaduva Police transferred
Seventeen police officers including the OIC of
Imaduva Police in Galle are transferred to the Galle Police
Headquarters with immediate effect on the orders of Southern
Province DIG Hector Dharmasiri. Sources said among the other
officers transferred are a Sub Inspector, six Police Sergeants, two
Women Police Sergeants, five Police Constables and one Service

Teen nabbed while trying to vandalize Sigiriya Mirror Wall
