Bank of Ceylon Chairman Dr Gamini Wickramasinghe was conferred an honorary fellowship
at the 16th convocation of the Institute of Bankers’ of Sri Lanka held at the BMICH on November 23. Dr Wickramasinghe had made vast contributions towards the banking, finance, IT and business sectors of the country. His main contributions include the economic development of the North and East, as well as poverty alleviation through sustainable agricultural development. The honorary fellowship was awarded by chief guest, Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal.
