Australian falls off World's End precipice

Police reported that an Australian who was on holiday in Sri Lanka had fallen off the precipice at World's End yesterday while trying to take photographs near the precipice.

Christopher Pilther (53) had arrived Sri Lanka with his wife for a long vacation. He was accompanied by around 15 tourists and they were visiting the World's End site when the tragedy occurred.

He fell down the precipice at Dayagama and his body is expected to be at Thariwaththa in Samanalawewa. He is presumed to be dead, Police said.
