Indian investor to set up five factories in N/E

A well known Indian investor has come forward to help Sri Lankan widows and disabled by setting up five factories in the North and East by providing job opportunities in these factories.

Balasubramanium Sri Nivasan, the brain child of the programme and project director said that the first factory will be set up in Omanthai and four other factories will be set up after the completion of the first phase of the initial project, he said.

He invited Sri Lankan expatriates to join hands with him and help the innocent widows and disabled whose livelihoods are in danger as they are helpless in finding jobs due to social constraints and inability to engage in jobs.

This mega scale project will encourage widows and the disabled to participate in the development of the national economy, he said.

‘The first factory being constructed in Omanthai will provide 200 job opportunities during in the first phase,’ he said.
