Klevenberg to increase Lucas battery market share

Lucas batteries maintains its current market share of 16 percent in
Sri Lanka and plans are underway to increase its market share to 21
percent.
The Klevenberg (Pte) Ltd General Manager Manjula Wijemanne told Daily
News Business that, they hope to achieve this target in one year.
He also said that Lucas battery sales increased sharply after the end
of the civil war in the North and East. A large number of dealers from
the North and the East provinces have been engaged to ensure business
success. Lucas batteries are manufactured using the best quality
material to suit any vehicle in Sri Lanka at a price to suit everyone’s
pocket.
The Klevenberg (Pte) Ltd is assured to provide 24 hours road side
assistance for its customers in Colombo and suburbs, Wijemanne said. “We
are upgrading our outlets and service centres to provide best quality
service to our customers,” he said.
He also said that they have already signed an agreement with the
Automobile Association of Sri Lanka to provide better service to
customers located all over the country. Klevenberg (Pte) Ltd, is a
subsidiary of the Browns Group and the sole marketeer of Lucas batteries
in Sri Lanka. Specialized equipment of Lucas, one of the leading brands
marketed by Klevenberg, is used to execute the servicing done for large
