Caught on CCTV camera

Horana Police arrested a suspect who had stolen Rs 200,000 and a phone worth about Rs 40,000 from a vehicle which stopped at a medical centre in Horana town. A CCTV camera had helped Police to identify the suspect.

This vehicle owner had stopped his vehicle and gone to the medical centre to check a blood sample. The suspect, by then had unlocked the vehicle and stolen money and the phone. He was not aware that this entire incident was captured in the CCTV camera installed at the location.

The Horana police are conducting further inquiries.
