Fifty Sewa Piyasa offices in A'pura

The Public Administration and Home Affairs Ministry will establish 50
Sewa Piyasa Offices in Anuradhapura district to coincide the Deyata
Kirula exhibition which will be held in Anuradhapura district next year,
Ministry's Secretary P.B.Abeykoon told the Daily News.
There are 12 divisional secretariats in the Anuradhapura district and
each divisional secretariat will receive two Sewa Piyasa offices,he
added.
According to Abeykoon the foundation stone was laid to the first Sewa
Piyasa office at Anuradhapura in Mahavilachchiya Divisional Secretariat
and Public Administration and Home Affairs Minister W.D.J.Seneviratne
has taken measures to provide Rs.700,000 for the construction of each
Sewa Piyasa.
These Sewa Piyasa offices will provide four services under one roof
and public can receive services from the Grama Niladhari,Samurdhi
officer, Family Health Officer and Agriculture Services Officer.
The ministry will establish a model Sewa Piyasa office in the Dayata
Kirula exhibition premises as well.
In addition to that the Public Administration Ministry will conduct a
mobile service in Anuradhapura district to solve social matters of the
public and it will be in operation till February 2012. |
