All parties support Govt

The present Government has been able to obtain the support of all parties to develop the country and work for the masses’ benefit, President Mahinda Rajapaksa said yesterday. He said that the Government had proved that it could unite all major political parties with differing views under one banner to work for the benefit of the masses as one team.

LG polls:

Curtain falls on campaign

All Local Government election propaganda activities will come to an end with effect from 12 midnight today (14), the Election Commissioner’s Office said. Accordingly, all mini election offices have to be removed before midnight today although main party offices could function till midnight on March 16.
