Tourism Fund to cash in on sector boom
The tourism and banking sectors will outperform
the rest in the Colombo stock market this year. The first ever
Ceylon Tourism Fund of Ceylon Asset Management (CAM) will enable Sri
Lankans to cash in on the tourism boom to explore emerging
opportunities, (CAM) Managing Director Dulindra Fernando told Daily

China Eastern Airlines to increase frequency
Flights from Beijing, Shanghai:
China Eastern Airlines is expected to increase
frequency to Sri Lanka from Shanghai and Beijing in the near future.
“With the prevailing peace in Sri Lanka and the close bi-lateral
relationship between Sri Lanka and China in economic and political
arenas has led to the increase in Chinese tourist arrivals to Sri
Lanka. Sri Lankan businessmen are also visiting various destinations
in China for business activities,” China Eastern Airlines G.S.A Dart
Aviation Executive Director S Mohanadas said.

NDB structures credit card securitization for RPC
NDB Investment Bank (NDBIB) has structured the
first ever credit card receivables securitization transaction in the
Sri Lankan capital market on behalf of Richard Pieris Distributors
Limited (RPD). The transaction involved securitising future credit
card receivables of the selected Arpico Super Market outlets to
raise more than Rs 1.0 billion over a five year period.
