Dream Life Science opens Rs 300 m factory

Dream Life Science, a subsidiary of Raigam Group has commenced
operations and introduced a range of cosmetic products under the Gamata
Karmantha Program of the Industrial Development Ministry.

The Dream Life Science factory will be an investment of Rs 300
million on completion. It will create more than 500 job opportunities,
Raigam Group Chairman and CEO Dr. Ravi Liyanage told Daily News
Business.
“As a part of the financing strategy to source finance for Dream Life
Science, an IPO has been planned to be executed in the near future,” Dr
Liyanage said.
The company provides 250 job opportunities and a range of cosmetic
products such as herbal hair oil, natural henna, shampoo and talcum
powder under the Dazzling and Herbal World brand produced in the
factory. The factory is equipped with modern machinery including a
sanitary napkin machine, herbal extractor and extruders with an
investment totalling over Rs 125 million.
Dream Life Science will bring in cosmetic products to the market with
a local flavour by utilizing local components in the manufacturing
process as much as possible.
Catering to the export market will come as a secondary phase of the
strategy formulated under the entity.
“We have been successful in finding export markets and negotiations
are under way with supermarket chains in the UAE to export herbal
products,” he said. |
