Police get tough with drug dealers

Galewela Police has intensified raids to nab persons involved in trafficking drugs.

One hundred and thirty one raids were conducted in November on the direction of Galewela Police OIC Roshan Perera. Several nabbed for offences were produced before Dambulla District Magistrate and fined Rs 651,200.

They were charged with selling kasippu, ganja and narcotics. Galewela Police prosecuted.
