Violence on US-Mexican border continues

Mexico: The wave of violence registered this week in the northern Mexican state of Tamaulipas reached the US border, where a dynamite device exploded.

The explosion was registered Saturday near the Hidalgo-Reynosa International Bridge, which joins Reynosawith the US cities of Pharr and Mission.

The explosion injured at least three people and caused damages, officials said. Reynosa authorities asked people entering the United States to avoid the risk and not use the Hidalgo-Reynosa bridge because of its proximity to the blast site, at the intersection of Columbus and Juarez streets. The police report states that the blast exploded at La Quebradita Bar, and several streets and bridges joining the Reynosa-Hidalgo international crossing were blocked.

Two car bombs exploded in front of the Televisa and the City Traffic Division facilities, both located in Ciudad Victoria, capital of Tamaulipas.
