Farhan and Nirasha win Air Force squash titles

Pakistan's Farhan Zaman and Sri Lanka's Nirasha Guruge emerged Mens' and Womens' champions respectively at the seventh Open Air Force Squash Championship which concluded at the Sri Lanka Air Force's new six-court squash complex in Ratmalana on Saturday.

Farhan beat Sandeep Jangri in the final to clinch the title while Nirasha defeated Damindi Uyanhewa to bag the womens open title.

This year's tournament saw the participation of Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Malaysian players as well as all top ranked players in Sri Lanka.

The tournament began as a non ranking tournament during the 50th year celebrations of the Air Force, and has received the full ranking status.
