A new shopping complex for small-scale businessmen at Ragama was
opened by Social Services Minister Felix Perera recently. This has been
built mainly to accommodate pavement hawkers in the area.
This project is part of the Ragama town development program, a
ministry spokesman said.
The new shopping complex consists of 98 shops. It has three entrances
and is located in the heart of the Ragama town.
This program has been implemented with the Government’s towns
beautification program.
Minister Felix Perera addressing the inauguration ceremony said
“There was a huge traffic block due to the pavement traders. This will
solve many problems.” |
