MBSL organizes seminar

Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka PLC (MBSL) is organising a seminar on “Learnings from the global financial crisis for Sri Lanka” which will be held on September 14 at 4.00 pm at King’s Court - Cinnamon Lakeside, Colombo.

The speaker is PricewaterhouseCoopers Partner and The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka President Sujeewa Mudalige,.

The global financial crisis, brewing for a while really started to show its effects in the middle of 2007 and into 2008.

Around the world stock- markets have fallen, large financial institutions have collapsed or been bought out and governments even in the wealthiest nations have had to come up with rescue packages to bailout their financial systems.

The seminar organized by MBSL is an opportunity to learn and understand on the lessons on governance, lessons on financial reporting, lessons on regulation, future of auditing, lessons to rating agencies and payment of bonuses and incentives.
